Who are we?
We are the Friends of North Downs Primary School (FONDS)
We are a team of parents of children at North Downs Primary School that volunteer to help raise money for the school (the Parent Teacher Association).
The team is led by Sarah White (Chair), Laura Cole (Vice-Chair) and Dan Fisher (Treasurer), supported by a planning commitee and a handful of regular volunteers.
We always need new volunteers!
We raise money through traditional fundraising, such as organising events and competitions, which we can’t do without your help.
All parents/carers of children at North Downs Primary School are welcome. We value whatever contribution you can make.
Do you want to be a FONDS volunteer?
A questionnaire will be sent to all parents/ carers during the first few weeks of school, please keep an eye out and complete the questionnaire. We would love to hear from you!
How much do we raise?
We raise between £10k - £15k per year
Our fundraising provides essential additional funds to the school. Recently we’ve funded…
– new blackout blinds for the school hall and IT suite
– the Christmas Marquee
– new roof for the gazebo
– media safety courses
– new touchscreen at Leigh
– new outdoor learning equipment
– gardening equipment for the school council
We’ve also donated thousands to the Children’s Trust and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
