All parents/carers of children at North Downs Primary School are automatically members of FONDS and are invited to attend all or any of the FONDS’ meetings. We value whatever contribution you can make whether in terms of giving time or donating items to sell at our events. Fresh ideas for fundraising or social events are always welcome…as are offers of help, regular or occasional.
The FONDS committee comprises a mix of parents from all three of our village sites led by Chair Kate Vernum, Treasurer Dan Fisher and Secretary Claire Gregory.

Our Fundraising
In the 2023-24 year we raised over
£10,000!
So thank you to all our organisers, volunteers, and sponsors!
Over £6,000 of that money was donated to the school! We funded the Christmas Marquee, YR6 Media Safety Course, new touchscreen at Leigh, new outdoor learning equipment, and gardening equipment for the school council. We’ve also donated £1,000 to the Children’s Trust, £500 to GOSH, and £330 to YR6 leavers’ fund.
“A huge thank you to FONDS for funding the purchase and installation of our new interactive screen at Leigh. This means that children can come together in the hall for assemblies…and even join the assemblies held in the Brockham hall via Teams. They can also use it on curriculum days and for PE using iMoves…it has made such a difference already!”
We need your help to keep raising money and beat last year’s fundraising!
This year FONDS have already released another £6,000 to fund new blackout blinds for the school hall and IT suite. The school have also asked FONDS to fund a new PA system for the hall, and new visualizers for the classrooms. We can’t do this without your continued support.
North Downs Dads (and friends) take on the 3 Peak Challenge in 24 hours for FONDS!
We’d like to make a big shout out to Justin, James, Ross and Josh, who are dads from North Downs School. They will be attempting the three peaks challenge in 24 hours in June 2025 to raise money for FONDS!
